I'll probably wait for a resolution to this binding issue before pushing on further though.Description To play this game on PS5, your system may need to be updated to the latest system software. Have really enjoyed my first go with the game, great fun and easy to get into, innovative and effortlessly entertaining. We should probably be given full binding ability, but given that many players may never rebind, it's important that the controller default scheme doesn't frustrate player intentions when controlling the basics, which I feel it currently does. So yeah, for the jump, RB? It's not a nice obvious, pick up and play choice like A - but at least players won't hit a dexterity brick wall after just a few levels.Īs for remaining bindings for power ups - I guess face buttons and whatever is left. Both have pros and cons LB feels more balanced but is a little constricting, Left Trigger is more comfortable but feels a little odd if pressing RB constantly. That would mean sprint should probably be on LB/Left Trigger. Of the two bumpers, either would be fine for eg PlayStation controllers, where the analogue sticks are symmetrically positioned, but for the x360 pad - which I believe is the most popular for PC gaming - the left stick is too close to the left bumper for it to be comfortable for jumping (I've experienced this issue in other first person games) - so I would say that by a process of deduction, RB/right button is the only real choice for the jump button. Stick clicks could work for some gamers, but I fear they are too esoteric a control method, so I would vote for the bumpers. That leaves the stick clicks, R3 and 元, or the shoulder buttons RB and LB. The other face buttons are out for the same reason as 'A'. The triggers are no good for jumping because they lack the twitch element. To hell with the power up bindings, let's get this right first! I need to be able to do both at once, flicking between the two to correct movements, instead of the movement forming one organic contiguous whole as I can see it does with mouse and keyboard, is not good enough. Am I missing something fundamental, or is this game a nightmare because I have to release the Look Stick/right stick to press A/jump? I'm utterly perplexed by the default controller config (comments will reference x360 pad, but apply to all pads).
